Singapore Bank Account Guide
bankaccount.com.sg is the English-language account-opening guide in the Xiaopoxian knowledge network's banking cluster. It is written for international families, expatriate professionals, founders of Singapore companies, the COOs and CFOs of family offices and VCCs, and the lawyers, accountants and corporate service providers who advise them.
The site covers three account families (personal, corporate, and family-office or VCC accounts), the customer due diligence banks perform under MAS Notice 626, source of funds and source of wealth, CRS and FATCA self-certification, published terms at major banks and digital banks, and SDIC deposit insurance. Rules are traced to the paragraph or page they come from, and every figure carries a currency, a date and a source listed on the sources page.
What this site does not do: it is not a bank, corporate service provider, law firm or tax adviser. It does not open accounts or register companies for anyone, rank or recommend banks, or predict whether or when an account will be opened.
Division of labour within the network: bankaccount.sg is the Chinese-language deep dive on personal accounts, including remote opening, multi-currency and rejection reasons; bankaccount.hk covers Hong Kong accounts and the Hong Kong–Singapore comparison; vccfund.com.sg covers VCC incorporation, regulation and tax; hnwsolution.com.sg covers private banking, family offices and wider HNW planning; hnwi.sg covers passes and relocation. This site links to them rather than repeating them. The Chinese pages here are summaries of the English pages.
